Aseptic Preparation
Disinfect the rubber septums of both the peptide vial and the bacteriostatic water vial with 70% isopropyl alcohol wipes. Allow 30 seconds for air-drying.
Solvent Addition
Using a sterile syringe, draw the exact volume of bacteriostatic water. Angle the needle so water runs gently down the inner glass wall of the vial rather than spraying directly onto powder.
Gentle Dissolution
Never shake the vial. Vigorous shaking creates shear stress that breaks tertiary peptide bonds. Slowly roll or gently swirl the vial between palms until dissolved clear.
Cold Storage (2–8°C)
Store reconstituted solutions in a laboratory refrigerator at 2°C–8°C protected from light. Most reconstituted peptides retain peak stability for 21 to 30 days under bacteriostatic conditions.
